DESCRIPTION
Post Oak(Quercus stellata) is in the white oak family, Native to North Texas, Dense but workable. Commercially viable for outdoor applications. The wood is heavy, hard, and strong, close-grained, and is very durable when in contact with soil. It received the monacor Post Oak because it is commonly used for fence posts, railroad cross ties, mine props, and lumber. It needs to be dried slowly to achieve maximum stability. Because of its density and BTU content, it is a also a popular wood for smoking Texas barbecue and also used sometimes as fuel.

Specific Product notes: Solid Post Oak cross section with a flat base, 1 larger deep crack near the center, a few smaller cracks around the edges, perfect option for epoxy accents, or other projects such as a charcuterie board, art pieces, or table a centerpiece.

Eligible Returns
We accept returns on standard inventory lumber within 7 days of purchase, provided:
- The piece is in its original, unaltered condition (not cut, sanded, planed, glued, or modified in any way)
- You provide proof of purchase
- A 10% restocking fee will apply
Non-Returnable Items
We are unable to accept returns on:
- Custom-milled or special-order lumber
- Pieces that have been altered in any way
- Live edge slabs or epoxy-treated wood after pickup or delivery
- Any lumber marked as as-is, discounted, or clearance
Exchanges
If your piece doesn’t work out, we may offer a one-time exchange for store credit toward another in-stock item of equal or greater value—assuming it meets the return conditions above.
